Great Ideas

Third Year Humanities unit in the Fall Semester was called Great Ideas. In this unit, students studied the anatomy of a great idea and what influences may affect those who have great ideas. As our vehicle for this exploration, we studied 12 important figures in both modern and ancient times. These included philosophers, astrophysicists, politicians, artists, and activists. Students were then challenged to develop a list of the top great ideas and great idea makers and be able to argue the placement on their list. In addition, students individually researched, in greater depth, a figure of their choice.
